LATE NITE SWEETS N’ TREATS

Conchetta Bell, owner of Late Nite Sweets N’ Treats, started working at just 15 years old. One day while working her factory job, she decided it was time to work for herself. Conchetta was baking as a side hustle. “I was Fearful of losing the security of having a steady paycheck. I didn’t know any entrepreneurs, I didn’t know where to start. I didn’t recognize at the time, but I would have to end up choosing security or my dreams…I chose my dreams.“

-Conchetta Anthony

Conchetta opened a small shop in 2017, while still working at the factory. She was still unsure about quitting her job, but one day in 2020 she was like “why not?” Conchetta’s mother would make pans of cookies and pass them out to the kids in the neighborhood. By the time Conchetta was 8 years old, she was baking her own pastries. Conchetta says her passion comes from her mom.

“Cooking was love for us. I love to bake; I love to cook.  I just took what mother had already showed me and added my twist to it, then I turned it into business. I am so grateful for this experience. I cannot wait to tell my children the story of working a graveyard shift, thinking of one day owning my own small business called Late Nite Sweets N’ Treats.” says Conchetta.
