The Journey.
Kahlil began his journey in Bowling Green at Western Kentucky University where he is currently studying to get his Bachelor’s degree in Business. While at WKU, Kahlil would meet an unexpected business partner; his father. As a sophomore on the Hill, Kahlil would meet his father and sister for the first time. “Once we had the father/son relationship down, we embarked on a new journey as business partners”, says Kahlil. Both Kahlil’s dad and sister, Chelsea, are successful entrepreneurs. This propelled Kahlil toward entrepreneurship, and specifically, building a business in his new hometown of Bowling Green.
Kahlil credits his Bowling Green mentors, Dr. Randy Capps, Don Vitale, Abraham Williams, Suzanne Vitale, and David Dinwiddie, with instilling in him self-confidence and the desire to give back. Also, as a client of POP-UP and as an intern at a local bank and with Operation Pride, Kahlil was able to apply his classroom knowledge to his new business venture.
Kahlil has served in many different positions within Jim Reynolds Asphalt. His goal is to continue to expand the business throughout Kentucky while creating a solid framework in Bowling Green. After completing his degree, he plans to diversify his portfolio by investing in more businesses.
